I had a big sewing to-do list that I was going to try and get through... but, as we all know: We make plans, and God laughs, LOL!
We had family in town, had great BBQ with Meyer's Sausage (made here in Elgin, Texas), swapped family stories, and had a fun, family weekend. It was hard to see family go back home. I feel very blessed to have my Mom and Dad so close by.
As far as sewing goes:
1) I got my next set of diapers and towels prepped (run through the wash and dryer) and ready to finish.
2) I continued work on my Pennant Banner for the Spunky Diva craft fair booth.
3) Finished up a special order for a bath and hand towel set incorporating a flaming skull (a design picture will be posted soon).
4) Completed a special order for a matching hand and kitchen towel set for a seaside theme make-over.
So, I got several items off that to-do list!
I also made several fabric and elastic bracelets for both myself and family members. These are so much fun to wear! I will have several available at the next craft fair. They are based on this tutorial for Fabric Bracelets, but with a "few" changes to the basic recipe, LOL! I will be posting a tutorial on the way I made these bracelets tomorrow (Wed, 6/2/2010) so stay posted!
