Today: 172 lbs Weight Loss To Date: 28 lbs {bye-bye…} Pounds to Goal {140 lbs}: 32 lbs A pound is good… for as little as I am doing, LOL!  At least this week I can laugh at it.  Before you have kids you totally don’t understand what ‘having’ kids does to your time, your goals, and your body.  Nothing ‘you’ have is ‘yours’.  It is all about community property, and I wouldn’t trade if for anything. My goal for this next week is to renew my no food after 6 pm vow.  I was ‘sneaking’ stuff after that and during the night.  Ms. Diva has discovered Vanilla Wafers, and just adores them.  Well… her mama adores them too.  So, xnay on the wafers this coming week.  I can have two with dinner {if it is before 6 p.m.} and only if I am going to waste away to ‘nothing’ if I don’t have them.  Isn’t the point of this whole weight loss ‘thang’ to waste away?  At least to my healthy goal weight?  Something to think about there… Tuesd...

Last Week: 173.5 lbs; Today 173 lbs Not a lot of movement, but at least it wasn’t up.  I did ride Galaxy several times over the last week.  I don’t know that I would count it as cardio since both of us are so out of shape that I ask her to go forty {maybe fifty yards} in a trot or canter and then we walk again so I can rebalance.  But… boy, is it good to be back on a horse!  And, Galaxy is a super-sweet green bean {a horse with very little training} to put up with me being so off balance.

Wednesday Weigh~In, 4/27/2011

Last Week:  175 lbs; This Week: 173.5 lbs Since January: 26.5 lbs {mostly baby weight, literally} Target Weight: 140 lbs; So… 33.5 pounds still to go! I haven’t gotten any cardio work-outs in since last weigh-in.  The only reason I lost the 1.5 lbs is because I have been doing really well watching my portions, and not eating/drinking anything but water after 6:00 p.m. {or so}.  That has really made a difference. I have been taking a pre-cooked frozen chicken breast and frozen peas to work for lunch.  I separate the chicken breasts into individual zip-locks, and I put 1cup of peas in a separate zip-lock.  Then in the morning I just have to grab one of each on the way out the door.  Easy, and about as automated as you can get. My other ‘cheat’ is getting flavored seltzer water from HEB.  Their store brand is wonderfully flavored with 0 Calories, Caffeine Free, and Sodium Free.  This really helps with the afternoon pop/coke cravings. Wednesday Weigh-In ~ 4/20/2011

Last Wednesday: 176 lbs This Wednesday: 175 lbs Goal this past week : To eat smaller portions, nothing after 7 p.m., and absolutely nothing in the middle of the night.   I did really well on my portions and not having any snacks before bed, but… I did succumb to the Hersey Kisses in the pantry.  A couple nights I had two { only two, I swear } when up with Ms. T in the wee hours of morning. Goal for this week: Keep going with last week’s goals, and add some cardio.  At least 3 times of 20 minutes or more before next week’s weigh-in.

Breakfast Coffee Drink at Home {not Starbucks!}

  Here is a way to achieve two goals: save money and be healthier {sorta}. One thing all the diets agree on is that you have to eat breakfast.  Well how many of us don't because we have little hands getting into everything and little feet that require corralling?  Actually "eating" breakfast is something I have never been good at.  So... What I do is mix Slimfast Protein Powder with 1 cup of milk as directed {except I use 2% not non-fat} shake it up, and then fill the rest of the bottle up with coffee.  Wallah!  You have a breakfast coffee drink that is healthier than any coffee drink from a store, and it has protein in it too.  What a win-win.  There are several different breakfast drink mixes out there, like Caranation Breakfast and others in the health food aisle. You can also just do one or two packets of hot chocolate mix with milk if you are going to actually eat breakfast.  I do this on Saturdays when Mr. SD is fixing breakfast f...

What's in a post...

I am officially 6 weeks out from my c-section with Ms. T!  Yipee!  Ms. T is now acting much more like a little baby, rather than just a blob.  Her eyes are open and focusing, and she is trying to figure out what to do with herself after eating since she is not just falling back asleep, LOL.  Ms. T has even started 'talking'.  This past weekend we {Mom, Me, and Ms. T} were in Irving, outside/part of Dallas, at the Countryside Women's Retreat with Martha Peace as the guest speaker.  It was a blast, and I will have a recap post with pictures later this week.  Here is a picture of Ms. T hanging in her stroller.  She was the youngest 'person' there, LOL! A Literal Sticky Note...

Instead of using the on-line program to generate this week's sticky note, I have a real life sticky note for you this week.  I have stuck this reminder on my computer monitor to remind me that just one soda a day is 15 pounds in a year.  {So far it hasn't been a very effective deterrent though, LOL}

Post-It Note Tuesday, 1/11/2011

A major goal for me this year is to get back down to 140 pounds.  I plan to start with a 30 pound drop by the end of January.  Nothing like having a baby to start the weight loss program, LOL!  So to keep myself accountable I have decided to use Post-It Note Tuesdays as my weight check-in day.  I am not planning on dropping the weight fast (other than the actual birth weight loss), but want to stay consistent and motivated through-out the year. "They" say that being public with your goal and your progress is one reason why programs like Weight Watchers are successful.  Let's see if I can find the same accountability in posting here on The Spunky Diva. Here are the first post-its to get the ball rolling: Linking up with:
