Five Question Friday - 10/22/2010

Another week has flown by...  I have been busy getting Stay-Put Towels ready for the holiday craft fairs.  I have one show confirmed, and another one still pending.  Both are indoor events, and should be a lot of fun.  This weekend I will be working on holiday themed burp cloths, and should have some pictures ready for Monday's weekend wrap.

In case you missed it last week; we announced the winner of the 200 Follower Giveaway.  Check out the post, and find out which pair of towels she claimed!

Here are this week's Five Questions from My Little Life:

1. Who is the better cook, you or your spouse?  Definitely him.  Ex-firefighter and all, LOL!  He loves to cook, and actually cares what he eats.  I am just one of those cook whatever is easy and be done with it.  So... I do a lot of dishes.
2. How often do you talk to your mom?  All the time.  We live close, and are always calling each other too.  She takes care of Ms. Diva while I am at work, so that also gives us a chance to talk every day.
3. Are you adventurous in the kitchen or stick to the recipe?  I hate following recipes (or sewing patterns for that matter), but I always tend to get in trouble when I don't follow the recipe (I am much better with the sewing, LOL).
4. Is your second toe longer than your big toe?  Just a tad longer.
5. Do you dress up for Halloween? (Bonus question: What will you be this year?)  Nope.  Not a big fan of the holiday.  Ms. Diva will be a Candy Corn since we will be going to the church's harvest festival and a wedding later that day -

  1. Ms Diva is Precious!!!!

I'm with you on the cooking. Don't like to cook. Don't like recipes. I would rather throw stuff together and hope for the best. The sad thing is if it actually turns out well - I'm pretty sure I won't be able to recreate it.

  2. Found you from the Friday blog hop and am your newest follower. Hope to see you by my blog too.
I have 4 blogs, you can follow all 4 or pick the one(s) that best suits you.

Add a ‘click-able’ signature to comments you make.

While blog hopping recently, I came across this fantastic tip listed on Be Our Best.  Jill has compiled her Top 10 Blogging Tips in one place to help others out there in blogland.  Most of them I had heard of before.  But she had one on her list that I have only seen a couple times in practice, and have not heard a how-to do it before.Number 6: Add a clickable signature to your comments. If you add the following text to the bottom of the comments you leave for other bloggers, whatever text you insert for “Your Text Here” will be clickable.  You have to switch out “{“ and “}” with “<” and “>” then it will work.  Remember to also change the “Your Blog Address” part, LOL! {a href= }YOUR TEXT HERE {/a}Bonus Tip ~ I use Notepad to store all the html codes I use on a regular basis {the direct link code for my signature image, color codes, etc.}.  I added the above code to my Notepad page, edited it with my information, and saved it.  Now all I have to do …

Christmas is coming...

Working through some Christmas items to list on, my Etsy store. I will be taking custom orders through Dec. 1st.  Also, getting back into the swing of things by participating in two craft fairs this holiday season.

Planner Tabs and Dashboard

Post-it's tabs are super easy to add and move if you need to change where there are placed. I find that after placing them, I may find it easier to see them further over or on the other side of the page.

Seeing so many different ways to use tabs on the top, sides, and bottoms of their planner has given me ideas. And when you find one way doesn't work great, switch the location until you do find the perfect location for the way you use them.

After this layout, I moved stuff around....

Now the tabs for project lists, H's B-day, next Christmas are on the bottom of the pages. Nothing blocks the,  since the above layout I also switched the monthly layouts to behind the DISFish weekly pages I use.  The teal/blue month tabs are on the first page of the DISFish which includes that month's information.  The monthly tabs on the side are for the two-page monthly sprees by Daytimer that came with this binder. Helps to see the month laid out in that way when on the phone making appo…
