It’s an ugly day in paradise… and other things!

Outside my is overcast, humid, and just plain yucky warm.  Welcome to Texas Spring.

Today I feel..good.  Still having a hard time with losing my Grandpa, but doing better on that score.

I am thankful..for my two little bundles of joy that make me laugh, and fill my evenings with joy.

Tomorrow I am work, probably have to go grocery shopping too.

I am wearing..capris and a skimpy tank under a cotton button down shirt {open, of course}.

I wish..for my Grandpa back.

This weekend..I am working at a Horse Show at the Travis County Expo Center for one of my favorite people.  It is always a good time, with a generous dose of chaos thrown in, LOL!

I am reading..A Heart Most Worthy, by Siri Mitchell

I am working on..figuring out how to polish off my blog design so I am ‘happy’ with it, and will stop fiddling with it.

Yesterday I..worked, did chores, slept till my alarm clock went off, rather than getting up with Mr. SD {or getting up with Ms. T when she decides to get up with Mr. SD, however you want to look at it}.

I am be able to do more horse grooming.  We are working on paying of Ms. T’s medical bills from a c-section delivery, and I earn extra income doing mane pulling and clipping.

I am music on Pandora.

I bet you didn't know..that I have stayed true to my No Fabric in April Pledge.  It’s been hard, but… it kinda goes along with the hoping comment above.  If I don’t spend money on fabric I have more to put towards the bills.

One of my [least] favorite..things to do right now is drink water.  I am using the Crystal Light packages to flavor my drinks.  My other least favorites is changing Ms. Diva’s diapers.

One of my [most] baby girl!  Nothing smells better than a little, tiny bundle of joy.  It will be over way to soon, and then I will have two toddlers to try and keep up with.

What are you up to?  Join in the fun over at Murdock’s Momma.

Add a ‘click-able’ signature to comments you make.

While blog hopping recently, I came across this fantastic tip listed on Be Our Best.  Jill has compiled her Top 10 Blogging Tips in one place to help others out there in blogland.  Most of them I had heard of before.  But she had one on her list that I have only seen a couple times in practice, and have not heard a how-to do it before.Number 6: Add a clickable signature to your comments. If you add the following text to the bottom of the comments you leave for other bloggers, whatever text you insert for “Your Text Here” will be clickable.  You have to switch out “{“ and “}” with “<” and “>” then it will work.  Remember to also change the “Your Blog Address” part, LOL! {a href= }YOUR TEXT HERE {/a}Bonus Tip ~ I use Notepad to store all the html codes I use on a regular basis {the direct link code for my signature image, color codes, etc.}.  I added the above code to my Notepad page, edited it with my information, and saved it.  Now all I have to do …

Quick Kitchen Curtain Tutorial

How comfortable with sewing are you?  Would you like to a quick and easy project that you can do yourself to create a window valance/ruffle out of any fabric you find?  Here you go!  There are only three lines of stitching in this project.  Very little measuring, and gorgeous results.

This project actually started almost two years ago, when I painted our current kitchen a pale ice blue we had left over from painting a bedroom.  To try something different, I painted the ceiling of the kitchen a deep, high-gloss navy.  You can see just a little bit of the ceiling in the finished curtain picture below.  As much as I adore the contrast in the paint colors, trying to find a ready made curtain for the kitchen has proven impossible.  Lots of kitchen curtains are to frilly, not the right color, too white, so on and so forth.  Did I mention too expensive?
So, when I brought home this fabric from Sewing Club and was trying to figure out what 'it' wanted to be, I decided it would be perfe…
