Lots of things happening today…

Today is the last day to get in your entries for the $15 Amazon Giftcard giveaway I am hosting here at The Spunky Diva.  {Shhh, but I got this giftcard through SwagBucks.}

Today… I have to get up the Easter pictures of Ms. Diva and Ms. T in their Easter outfits.  They are soooooo  cute!  As some of you know I was working at a horse show this weekend, and so missed the Easter Church Service and after church meal, but I was able to help get the girls ready for the big day and get some pictures taken.

When I got back from the show grounds Sunday evening, Ms. Diva was crashed out {literally} on the recliner while Mr. SD was holding Ms. T in the other recliner, LOL.  Of course, I didn’t get a photo of that.  Apparently, she took a short nap in the car on the way home from church, but did not take an afternoon nap.  It was much more exciting to take graham crackers out of the plastic Easter eggs, and then get them refilled to open again, LOL.  Before going to bed last night, Ms. Diva was stuffing/cramming vanilla wafers into the Easter Eggs and then giving them to Mr. SD to close.  Don’t ask me how we are going to get the vanilla wafer back out of the eggs.  The eggs may just have to go bye-bye.

Another big thing happening today… is that The Spunky Diva has it’s first official ‘official’ sponsor, and… we will be hosting an awesome, awesome giveaway beginning later in May.  So, make sure you stay tuned for more info on that.

That’s all for now.  I will get the girls’ Easter Pictures posted about 6 pm or so.

Add a ‘click-able’ signature to comments you make.

While blog hopping recently, I came across this fantastic tip listed on Be Our Best.  Jill has compiled her Top 10 Blogging Tips in one place to help others out there in blogland.  Most of them I had heard of before.  But she had one on her list that I have only seen a couple times in practice, and have not heard a how-to do it before.Number 6: Add a clickable signature to your comments.If you add the following text to the bottom of the comments you leave for other bloggers, whatever text you insert for “Your Text Here” will be clickable.  You have to switch out “{“ and “}” with “<” and “>” then it will work.  Remember to also change the “Your Blog Address” part, LOL! {a href=http://www.YourBlogAddress.com/ }YOUR TEXT HERE {/a}Bonus Tip ~ I use Notepad to store all the html codes I use on a regular basis {the direct link code for my signature image, color codes, etc.}.  I added the above code to my Notepad page, edited it with my information, and saved it.  Now all I have to do …

Quick Kitchen Curtain Tutorial

How comfortable with sewing are you?  Would you like to a quick and easy project that you can do yourself to create a window valance/ruffle out of any fabric you find?  Here you go!  There are only three lines of stitching in this project.  Very little measuring, and gorgeous results.

This project actually started almost two years ago, when I painted our current kitchen a pale ice blue we had left over from painting a bedroom.  To try something different, I painted the ceiling of the kitchen a deep, high-gloss navy.  You can see just a little bit of the ceiling in the finished curtain picture below.  As much as I adore the contrast in the paint colors, trying to find a ready made curtain for the kitchen has proven impossible.  Lots of kitchen curtains are to frilly, not the right color, too white, so on and so forth.  Did I mention too expensive?
So, when I brought home this fabric from Sewing Club and was trying to figure out what 'it' wanted to be, I decided it would be perfe…
