Planner Tabs and Dashboard

Post-it's tabs are super easy to add and move if you need to change where there are placed. I find that after placing them, I may find it easier to see them further over or on the other side of the page.

Seeing so many different ways to use tabs on the top, sides, and bottoms of their planner has given me ideas. And when you find one way doesn't work great, switch the location until you do find the perfect location for the way you use them.

After this layout, I moved stuff around....

Now the tabs for project lists, H's B-day, next Christmas are on the bottom of the pages. Nothing blocks the,  since the above layout I also switched the monthly layouts to behind the DISFish weekly pages I use.  The teal/blue month tabs are on the first page of the DISFish which includes that month's information.  The monthly tabs on the side are for the two-page monthly sprees by Daytimer that came with this binder. Helps to see the month laid out in that way when on the phone making appointments. Which I found out after trying to schedule my annual check-up. Another cool aspect of a loose leaf planner/organizer. Being able to move sections of pages around and adding pages you find out you do need after all.

Now if I find a need for more permanent tabs, I now what and where I need them. I have fallen in love with card stock dividers with the tabs cut at the same time as the card stock, but am not sure yet if I actually need those.

The 'week' is attached to the Daytimer page marker, and that is placed in the current weeks's page. Which makes it super easy to flip to the task list for that week and the weekly tracker list. No shuffling pages to find the right page. Same with the 'month' marker.  Another post-it tab stuck to that months page. Again no hunting through the tabs to find the correct month. Quick and easy and you will find that you use them more.

The '2016' tab is a yearly layout (DIYFish) that I use to keep track of pay days, b-days and anniversaries, and when my periods start.  I actually have three different copies of the yearly format for different uses in the planner

My next favorite thing is my dashboard.

A piece of card stock with a verse on each side folds over the dashboard keeping the tabs and post its smooth and undisturbed when I flip around to various pages and sections.

Flip it open... These are stuck to the front plastic page that came with the planner. Behind the plastic page is the zipper holder, used for various stickers and hole protectors, and then more stickies. On the right side of this pic you can see my week food tracking for using the 21-day fix guidelines.  I used the command strips to attach the post it tab holders to the black plastic.

Pretty in Pink and Some Sparkles too!

A hat for my oldest in ballet pink (red heart yarn she picked) with some silver beads.  No pattern, and ended up running elastic thread through a couple rows to make it more secure on her head for now, until she grows into it some more. Matches a shoulder shrug knitted for her during her year of ballet lessons.
