1. What were your school colors? The "school" I remember most was elementary (Purple/Gold same was University of WA). I couldn't tell you what the community college I went to used for colors. I think it was green and something. Was home schooled for middle and high school years. I "claim" burnt orange for UT, but that is just an Austin thang.
2. What's the best compliment you ever received? I was invited to ride for a trainer in Germany. Now that invitation was probably only extended because he knew I had a family, and wouldn't be likely to take him up on it, LOL. But, it was a very neat compliment to receive. A compliment no one else at that clinic received.
3. Do you buy cheap or expensive toilet paper? EXPENSIVE! Not the most expensive, but certainly not the cheapest stuff. Can't have rough on the tush. Kinda like bedsheets; some people can sleep with any kind of sheet. Me, if it isn't 600 plus count, it isn't going to work for me. Of course, I only have two pairs of sheets that I switch between, but they are both the luxurious type {PS - Costco has a great deal on these}.
4. Have you ever had a surprise party thrown for you? Or have you had one for someone else? I haven't ever had a surprise party, and I can't keep my mouth shut so I have never thrown a surprise party for someone else. I did however manage to fly home for my mom's b-day without her knowing, and surprised her at the restaurant my dad had taken her to for dinner. Do you think that counts?
5. What is one material possession that you "can't live without"? Well, in a previous week we established I couldn't live without coffee, so... a coffee maker? Or, it might be the sheets. I would love to have a dishwasher again, but am living without one now. I love my car, and would really rather not have to go by horseback or buggy everywhere. Books would be very hard to live without. So, I guess there are a lot of things I couldn't live without, LOL! I could live without: the TV, the DVR, dishwasher. Everything else I would really like to keep.

That's cool that you were able to surprise your mom. I think that totally counts!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!
Passing through by way of 5QF.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Vandy . . . surprising your mom TOTALLY counts! That's something you never forget. My parents surprised me once at the airport (at a time when you could actually go to the gate and meet your party), but they were dressed in weird wigs and 60s clothes, with Billy Bob teeth and a sign. SO embarrassing but funny!
