Passing along the Beautiful Blogger Award

The time has come to pass along my Beautiful Blogger award I received from Mommas Kinda Crafty.  Here are the rules:

1. Thank the person who gave you this award.

2. Share 10 things about yourself.

3. Pass the award along to bloggers who you have recently discovered and who you think are fantastic!

4. Contact the bloggers you've picked and let them know about the award.

I thanked Joy, so now onto the ten things about ME!

1.  I love to craft (that you had probably guessed), but tend to drive my hubby and myself nuts over all the different types of crafts I try (needle point, knitting, spinning, jewelry making, etc.).

2.  I have ridden horses since I was 6 months old (that ride was of course with someone else).  We currently have three horses, and are searching for Ms. Diva's first pony.

3.  I grew up outside of Seattle in a little dot on the map called Maple Valley, and moved to Austin, Texas in 2003.  We are now living outside of Austin, and I am very happy to be back in the middle of nowhereville.

4.  I plan on homeschooling Ms. Diva and the one on-the-way.  I have a hard time putting faith in a school system that is overburdened and scorns my faith and the beliefs that we as a family have.

5.  I started blogging this year, and am completely hooked on it.  I am a complete addict.

6.  I adore craft fairs!!!  Having my own booth just makes sense, because it gives me a "good" reason to spend all day at the craft fair, LOL.

7.  If I had to choose between coffee and life, I would choose coffee.  Seriously, there are just some things that life without wouldn't be worth it.  Crafting would be the second thing I could not live without.

8.  I play violin (this is kinda cheating since I shared it on a Five Question Friday).

9.  I type really fast (90 wpm at 98% accuracy).  My 10-key is even faster (the little keypad to the right of your keyboard), but I am one of those freaky people who can type numbers in a sentence with the numbers at the top of the keyboard without slowing down.

10.  (Thank you Lord this is the last one)  My current obsession is children's items, and figuring out how to make stuff from sewing patterns.  I am still stuck in terror trying to do this skirt.

So, now that you know 10 more things about me, check out these "Beautiful Bloggers"!

Add a ‘click-able’ signature to comments you make.

While blog hopping recently, I came across this fantastic tip listed on Be Our Best.  Jill has compiled her Top 10 Blogging Tips in one place to help others out there in blogland.  Most of them I had heard of before.  But she had one on her list that I have only seen a couple times in practice, and have not heard a how-to do it before.Number 6: Add a clickable signature to your comments. If you add the following text to the bottom of the comments you leave for other bloggers, whatever text you insert for “Your Text Here” will be clickable.  You have to switch out “{“ and “}” with “<” and “>” then it will work.  Remember to also change the “Your Blog Address” part, LOL! {a href=http://www.YourBlogAddress.com/ }YOUR TEXT HERE {/a}Bonus Tip ~ I use Notepad to store all the html codes I use on a regular basis {the direct link code for my signature image, color codes, etc.}.  I added the above code to my Notepad page, edited it with my information, and saved it.  Now all I have to do …

Christmas is coming...

Working through some Christmas items to list on www.SpunkyDiva.com, my Etsy store. I will be taking custom orders through Dec. 1st.  Also, getting back into the swing of things by participating in two craft fairs this holiday season.

Planner Tabs and Dashboard

Post-it's tabs are super easy to add and move if you need to change where there are placed. I find that after placing them, I may find it easier to see them further over or on the other side of the page.

Seeing so many different ways to use tabs on the top, sides, and bottoms of their planner has given me ideas. And when you find one way doesn't work great, switch the location until you do find the perfect location for the way you use them.

After this layout, I moved stuff around....

Now the tabs for project lists, H's B-day, next Christmas are on the bottom of the pages. Nothing blocks the,  since the above layout I also switched the monthly layouts to behind the DISFish weekly pages I use.  The teal/blue month tabs are on the first page of the DISFish which includes that month's information.  The monthly tabs on the side are for the two-page monthly sprees by Daytimer that came with this binder. Helps to see the month laid out in that way when on the phone making appo…
