As you can see it has been a slow week for me (or just way to busy with other stuff so far, LOL), and I am just now getting to my weekend wrap for the wonderful Fourth of July weekend. I am including links to the different crafts I tried out this weekend with pictures from the tutorials (I haven't had a chance to get pictures of my actual pieces yet). As usual I went for fast crafts that used items I knew I had around the house already (the way to be frugal).
First up: Butterfly Feeder by Cheap Vegetable Gardner (which I found through Homemade Mamas)

Next: I worked on a quilt top using the Streak of Sunshine directions from http://www.quiltville.com/ and here is the link for Bonnie's Blog. There are lots of great quilt patterns available, and the website is where you can find Bonnie's guide to organizing quilting scraps! Very useful info!!! For my quilt top I used only two fabrics (note to self: if using only two fabrics you don't have to sew the tube, just cute into strips and rotate the strips to alternate the fabrics). I am using two brown/blue prints similar to this fabric I found at Fabric.com.
And my final project this weekend: was making Ms. Hope a Letter Bow Holder. (more inspiration from Etsy) (and another using scrapbook paper). I am not finding the original blog post that I "think" I used as my main inspiration (I probably found it through a link party).
One final link for another bow holder tutorial from Ucreate (another totally awesome blog).
Here is a fantastic picture of another bow holder from Joy at Mommas Kinda Crafty.
I promise to post pics of everything in my next weekend wrap, which I also promise will be Monday, Lord willing and the creek don't rise!
I am linking up my Scrunchy Pillow Case Tutorial with:
