Five Question Friday - 8/13/2010

Friday the 13th!  I feel like I need to go rent a movie, LOL.  Here are the Friday Questions from My Little Life.  I am filling them out while I have the embroidery machine chugging away at finishing designs on the last four burp clothes of twelve.  Remember you can join in the fun, add your answers, and link up at 5QF too!

1. Have you ever visited another country?  Yes.  My dad and took a trip to Africa, visiting England on layover then Zimbabwe, Tanzania and Kenya.  I also made a couple overnight trips into Canada when living outside of Seattle.

2. Where is the strangest place you have ever been?  Africa, LOL.  Nothing like going to another continent to feel out of place.  It is very "English" in a lot of things, and so band-aid versus plaster type things were always happening.  Plus, there is a big difference in the foods served.

3. What is your favorite season?  I love the heat of Texas during the summer, but I love winter/Christmas as my favorite "season".  Nothing like a little cold weather (maybe two weeks at the most, LOL) and Christmas Carols to set the mood.

4. What one song will always cheer you up?  Lean on Me, or Shine (by the Newsboys)

5. What Disney character do you resemble most?  I wish I was as lovely and pure of heart as one of the Disney princesses, but more likely I more resemble one of the wicked villains.  Not a really bad villain, but one that isn't always on the up and up like I should be.

Add a ‘click-able’ signature to comments you make.

While blog hopping recently, I came across this fantastic tip listed on Be Our Best.  Jill has compiled her Top 10 Blogging Tips in one place to help others out there in blogland.  Most of them I had heard of before.  But she had one on her list that I have only seen a couple times in practice, and have not heard a how-to do it before.Number 6: Add a clickable signature to your comments. If you add the following text to the bottom of the comments you leave for other bloggers, whatever text you insert for “Your Text Here” will be clickable.  You have to switch out “{“ and “}” with “<” and “>” then it will work.  Remember to also change the “Your Blog Address” part, LOL! {a href=http://www.YourBlogAddress.com/ }YOUR TEXT HERE {/a}Bonus Tip ~ I use Notepad to store all the html codes I use on a regular basis {the direct link code for my signature image, color codes, etc.}.  I added the above code to my Notepad page, edited it with my information, and saved it.  Now all I have to do …

Christmas is coming...

Working through some Christmas items to list on www.SpunkyDiva.com, my Etsy store. I will be taking custom orders through Dec. 1st.  Also, getting back into the swing of things by participating in two craft fairs this holiday season.

Planner Tabs and Dashboard

Post-it's tabs are super easy to add and move if you need to change where there are placed. I find that after placing them, I may find it easier to see them further over or on the other side of the page.

Seeing so many different ways to use tabs on the top, sides, and bottoms of their planner has given me ideas. And when you find one way doesn't work great, switch the location until you do find the perfect location for the way you use them.

After this layout, I moved stuff around....

Now the tabs for project lists, H's B-day, next Christmas are on the bottom of the pages. Nothing blocks the,  since the above layout I also switched the monthly layouts to behind the DISFish weekly pages I use.  The teal/blue month tabs are on the first page of the DISFish which includes that month's information.  The monthly tabs on the side are for the two-page monthly sprees by Daytimer that came with this binder. Helps to see the month laid out in that way when on the phone making appo…
