Here are some pictures of Ms. Diva modeling her butterfly Ayano dress.  I am so happy with how this turned out!  Ms. Diva loves it too.

I still need to run the inside seams through the serger and add the button, but otherwise it is finished!  Can’t wait to try it on Ms. Diva and get pictures.

I purchased and cut out the pieces for this ruffle dress the last weekend of March, but then it was put aside to complete some other projects {and interrupted by the kiddos}.  Now, I am back on track to finish this super-cute, super sweet ruffle dress from Ellie Inspired . After cutting each set of pieces, I used a straight pin to pin the cut pieces to the pattern piece.  As a novice at sewing from a pattern this really has helped me to keep the pieces straight, even with the two-plus week gap between cutting the pieces and putting the dress together. I am using my serger to construct the dress.  After serging the side seams of the skirt sections and ruffles, I repined the pattern piece to the pieced together sections.  { Make sure to keep straight pins out of the reach of small children. } Here is the bodice section completed; except for the back placket and buttons. Well Folks … I almost washed out of the Quilt-Along on the first block… it had triangles, LOL!  This is the first block I have ever made using triangles.  {Not that I have done tons of quilting.}  It came out so well!!!! I used the reverse of the tan, pawprint fabric so that the pattern is as subdued as possible since it is my ‘white’ fabric.  This block shows how all the different patterns/colors are going to work together.  The pattern at P2 showed only four of the fabrics being used, but since this is the center block for the quilt I made each corner using a different fabric so that they would all be used in the center block.  You can check out the other blocks that have been posted to the P2 Quilt-Along Flickr group .  Happy quilting! This Sunday was 50’s day at church, and with Ms. Diva walking this year she ‘just’ had to have a fun skirt to wear to celebrate the occasion.  I had about half a yard of tan felt in my fabrics to use for the skirt { to go with her brown shoes }.  Not enough for a true, full poodle skirt.  So... I compromised and made an abridged ‘butterfly’ skirt.  I added a shocking hot pink tulle ruffle at the bottom, and tied the pink to the shirt with a quick stitched ‘flower’.  This was tulle I had left over from the TuTu Drive .  She was soooooo cute!  She is just starting to figure out twirling, and... ... she is fascinated with dandelions at the moment.  She loves to pull off the ‘fluff’ and set it free!  See how cute she is?  {Tomorrows post will have pictures of her not-so-cute side and pictures of my outfit to.} The butterfly design is from Embroidery Garden , and has to be one of my favorite butterfly designs I have found to d...

I went through my stash tonight, and created some more Travel Tissue Holders.  Here are a few to show you...   The red cowboy print is a fabric that I have used for several burp clothes .    The Black and Blue Butterfly fabric is leftover from my purse accessories project , and I have used the Black and White polka dot fabric for Stay-Put Towels .
